Number plate components for professional manufacture
Sandhurst Autoprint supplies number plate components and materials for professional plate manufacture, including acrylic blanks, reflective materials and specialist sizes and shapes. Our extensive range supports everything from standard UK number plates to motorcycle, lipped and bespoke applications.
With acrylic cut in-house at our Aldershot facility, we can supply both commonly used formats and more specialist requirements to businesses across the UK motor trade.
Acrylics
Acrylic is the industry-standard material for number plate manufacture. All materials supplied by Sandhurst Autoprint meet or exceed the British Standard BS AU 145e, which dictates the thickness of each number plate to be 3.1mm +/- 0.5mm, and lays down strict guidelines on flexibility and impact resistance.
The majority of our acrylic is laminated at source to avoid contamination and the standard (520×111) size is pre-boxed in quantities of 50 or 100 for ease of handling. We only use credited suppliers and our vast stocks ensure we can provide the exact sizes to meet the demands of all modern vehicles.
Reflectives
Number plate reflectives are supplied in a variety of sizes to suit the different size plates available on today's vehicles. All of our reflective materials meet the current British Standard BS AU 145e and are generally supplied 'Deadsize', which means there is no need for trimming.
Our top of the range printing systems allow us to print your customer details and the BSAU mark on either the reflective material or the acrylic. We can pre-print your required details on all size reflectives including the new UK plates for travelling abroad and the Green plates for electric vehicles.
Laser cut to your sizes
Our acrylic is cut on our own laser in Aldershot rather than bought in pre-cut. That means we hold the sizes modern vehicles actually need, we can cut bespoke shapes without a minimum order, and lead times are ours to control rather than a supplier's.
It also keeps waste down. Off-cuts are managed through our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system.
